  • Apply for program admission at our website.  You are responsible for the application fee.

  • Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to our office.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR LIVING STIPENDS?

There are many factors that determine your eligibility and payment rates for the monthly housing allowance. We cannot guarantee what payments, if any, you may be eligible to receive from the VA, however please note the following:

·         VA determines eligibility and payment rates

·         Rates can be prorated based upon date of eligibility, benefit level, and Rate of Pursuit

·         Fulltime enrollment is 18 clock hours per week

·         Housing is not payable during breaks in training

WHAT TYPES OF FEDERAL VA EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS CAN BE USED AT NMS & SAMA?

  • The Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)

  • Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (Chapter 1606)

  • The MGIB-Active Duty (Chapter 30- Montgomery GI Bill)

HOW DO I PAY THE SCHOOL IF MY BENEFITS ARE PAID DIRECTLY TO ME?

  •   If you are using your Ch. 30. 1606, or 35 to pay for your education, you will be responsible for setting up a tuition account with the school through our tuition processing system.  You are responsible for monthly payments directly to the school after receiving your monthly payout from the VA.   You are legally and financially responsible for timely payment of the tuition and will be held accountable for all NMS/SAMA student tuition policies.

AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR MONTHLY CERTIFICATION?

  •  If you are receiving Montgomery Bill (Chapter 30 or Chapter 1606) benefits, you need to report your hours directly to the VA system.   You can call their automated system at (877) 823-2378 or use their online WAVE system at www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/
